God has led that person there, just as well as He has led you to your place situation. God is in control.

In my relationship with my husband, I went through a time of struggle having been a very strong willed single adult supporting myself and then becoming … a wife. Aron and I knew each other as good friends for 6 years before we were married. I knew he was a godly man, a man who was strong and sought to please the Lord above all other things.

But even having a good man as my leader, it was still difficult for me, because I was not very submissive at first. Indeed, I still struggle to submit. I can just hear all of the egalitarians groaning. I was so enamored by my own abilities and strengths that I neglected to follow my leader. It took me a long time to really watch what he was doing and follow his lead.

Aron has a different mindset than I do, partly because of the call on his life from God Himself to serve in full time ministry which gives him more time devoted to the Word and to prayer. He has more experience in applying the truths he has studied because of his calling as well.

He also has a perspective based on his experiences that God has led him through and a unique personality that God has given him. He has been so to me and to others.

Rebekah Schrepfer says:

Submission to my leaders, even imperfect leaders, can move a prideful and impulsive girl toward humility and patience and temperance. It makes us vulnerable to demonic attack and has terrible consequences. He suffered so that you and I might have eternal life. When He strengthens them, it is not by taking away the sense of feebleness, and giving in its place the feeling of strength. Have his own car and be able to be intimate and then she might become submissive. Again we read, For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. The Teacher and the Tests.

I would never have learned this joy had I not submitted when I disagreed or when I saw him mess up. It is following, not leading. A follower is not to be the stopgap for the leader. He may perform as a servant leader and serve his family and church as God has called him, and that may reveal his humility and meekness.

How is this empowering then? When He strengthens them, it is not by taking away the sense of feebleness, and giving in its place the feeling of strength.

Submission for most of the people simply means surrender to somebody's Here we are telling you that how the power of submission can be. The Power of Submission. James Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Submission is a difficult idea for many, mainly.

But in a very wonderful way leaving and even increasing the sense of utter impotence, He gives them along with it the consciousness of strength in Him. So the real challenge to us is not so much to submit to my earthly authorities, but ultimately do I submit to God? Check how many times we are to OBEY from a submissive stance:.

The Power of Submission

Submission to my leaders, even imperfect leaders, can move a prideful and impulsive girl toward humility and patience and temperance. So that makes my point. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. We must be submissive to all civil government. I know 45 is the President but we have to deal with what we got. Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

We must be submissive in our day to day relationship. Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. I am the Lord.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.

Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,. In the Greek it is Hypotasso - to subject, to subordinate, attach, apppend, subjoin, to obey, to submit to, obedience, place or arrange under, assign, interior, being under firm control, to subdue, explore, search out. So if I submit to you then that means I am willing to come under you!

If I come under you that means you Got me Covered! For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: Jesus said in Matthew Jesus did not qualify His command to give to Caesar only if Caesar is good or if you agree with Caesar.

He told us to give rulers what is due them, and that includes taxes and respect. Neither Peter, Paul, nor Jesus were saying that we should compromise our faith in our submission to government. Therefore, submit to government authority until it commands you to disobey God. Be prepared for the consequences, and be a good witness of Jesus Christ when the punishment comes. The days of persecution are upon us again. Christians are losing their jobs, denied positions, accused of crimes, facing lawsuits, and accused of hating because they obey God rather than men. When it happens to you, be like Jesus.

Peter also said a Christian should submit to his employer. Some people have good bosses and some have bad bosses. I would guess that the majority of workers do not particularly like their bosses. That is a spirit of rebellion. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Stefanie says:

Sometimes we may suffer wrongfully on the job. Are we to get back somehow at our boss? No, we are to endure it, and if we do, God will be pleased. However, sometimes we can bring suffering upon ourselves.

If a person is caught stealing from his boss and is fired, his suffering will not be pleasing to God because he deserves punishment. We understand that, but why should we endure unjust suffering? Again we read, For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. What a powerful way to exemplify Christ to our fellow employees and to our boss by submitting to his authority even when he may be unjust. Jesus did nothing wrong.

He suffered not for His own gain, but for ours. He suffered so that you and I might have eternal life. If others see you endure unjust suffering, you will be witnessing for Christ in a way that speaks much louder than words. Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. Many feminists today say that the Bible degrades women, but nothing could be further from truth. Nothing has done so much to raise the status of womanhood and motherhood than the teachings of Jesus Christ. Where the message of Christ has permeated, women have been ennobled and respected as human beings made in the image of God.

This does not mean that the husband is superior to the wife because he is the head of the home. A husband and wife are to be one in spirit, soul, and body, but a body does not have two heads. There is equality between the husband and wife despite their different responsibilities. This submission, on the part of the wife, is to be in obedience to the Lord.

I hear Christian wives excuse themselves from submitting to their husbands because he is not a Christian. Peter is addressing that very situation and explains why that excuse is not valid. Vernon McGee told the story of a woman who found herself in this situation.
